Who We Are

Pointblankfilms is a think tank and creative lab dedicated to the international arts, cinema, and cultural industries. As part of 504, the entity overseeing Screen Diplomacy, Pointblankfilms, and 504Sound, we operate as both a student-driven project and a non-governmental organization (NGO) affiliated with Aix-Marseille University.

At our core, we seek to form a dynamic community of students, professors, filmmakers, researchers, and industry professionals to collectively analyze, create, and rethink the evolving landscape of cinema and cultural diplomacy. Through this interdisciplinary exchange, Screen Diplomacy serves as both a space for intellectual reflection and a launchpad for artistic and academic innovation.

Screen Diplomacy aims to analyze, document, and innovate within the global film and cultural sectors while fostering cross-border collaboration. As a think tank and creative lab, our primary goal is to establish an international network, partnering with universities and cultural institutions worldwide.

Currently structured around our France-USA, France-Spain, and France-Italy departments, we seek to expand our reach, engaging with scholars, artists, and professionals across different cultural landscapes. By bridging academia and industry, we promote French and international cultural influence while addressing the challenges and transformations of the creative sector.

Research & Analysis

We produce and publish studies, essays, and reports on the evolution of the film and cultural industries, with a focus on audiovisual diplomacy, international collaborations, and cultural policies. Our think tank gathers insights from academics, professionals, and students to rethink the role of cinema and culture in a globalized world.

Creative Production
